Leading companies such as CATL, Sungrow Power, and Tianhe Energy Storage have all launched 20 foot 5 megawatt hour container energy storage systems (according to incomplete statistics, nearly 20 companies have successively released 20 foot 5 MWh+liquid cooled energy storage system products).
From the perspective of technological development pace, cost reduction and efficiency improvement are the core of any industry, and energy storage is no exception. In 2023, the gradual localization of key technologies and equipment for new energy storage will lead to a gradual decrease in system construction costs. The route of electrochemical energy storage technology is constantly innovating, and its trend of diversified development is obvious. In addition to the more mature lithium-ion battery technology, emerging technologies such as sodium ion batteries and flow batteries are also expected to become the future development direction of electrochemical energy storage.
From a safety perspective, energy storage is an industry based on safety. At present, large-scale safety accidents still occur throughout the entire life cycle of energy storage power stations, and the standards for the entire construction process of energy storage power stations need to be improved. Temperature control and fire protection technologies will also be rapidly developed. From the perspective of industry standards, the design of energy storage integrated system products is uneven, software and hardware are incompatible, and standardization still needs further improvement.
From a brand perspective, energy storage brands need to establish their own "identity" in order to gain market recognition. Through technological innovation and new product development, enhance the marketing channel capabilities of enterprises and take the initiative.
Looking back at 2023, top enterprises can still achieve good performance in various markets by relying on their own scale advantages, on the basis of high cost-effectiveness and high demand.
