China Railway Construction Port and Navigation Bureau has won the bid for the wind turbine foundation and installation construction project (Section 2) of China Resources Lianjiang Offshore Wind Power Project. This project will mass use 18 MW offshore wind turbines, making it the largest offshore wind power project with a single unit capacity in the country.
It is reported that the project is located in the sea area east of Lianjiang in Fujian Province, with a planned installed capacity of 700 MW. It will install 39 18 MW offshore wind turbines, a 220 kV offshore booster station, and an onshore centralized control center.
After the project is completed, it is expected that the annual power generation will reach 3.3 billion kilowatt hours, saving about 958000 tons of standard coal and reducing carbon dioxide emissions by 2.632 million tons. It can also save fresh water, reduce corresponding wastewater discharge and warm drainage, and have significant environmental benefits. The project construction will effectively promote the local new energy industry and circular economy to enter a new period of rapid development, which is of great significance for further optimizing the energy structure of Fujian Province, accelerating industrial upgrading, and promoting energy conservation and emission reduction.
