Acid free solid-state battery (academic name OPzV solid-state lead battery) is a new environmentally friendly solid-state battery for energy storage. The use of nanoscale gas-phase silica as an electrolyte is a 100% solid structure, with no sulfuric acid liquid and no leakage, effectively solving the safety problem of battery thermal runaway and fire; The positive and negative electrode materials, partitions, electrolytes, and other materials are all fire-proof and explosion-proof, without fire or explosion, and there are no safety hazards; Old batteries can be recycled, environmentally friendly, and will not cause secondary pollution.
The design life of acid free solid-state batteries is 25 years, with a battery cycle life of 5500 times. Under the same conditions, their cycle life is about 4-5 times longer than that of conventional batteries. Acid free solid-state batteries can be widely used for energy storage on the user side, peak shaving and frequency regulation on the power generation side and grid side, suitable for safe energy storage and backup time of 10 minutes to 120 hours in application scenarios.
The first dimension is "safety", which is the intrinsic safety of acid free solid-state batteries. In the short circuit state, there is no fire or explosion in the open flame state, and all materials used are fire rated; Energy storage power stations can be unmanned and remotely monitored.
The second dimension is "environmental protection", where there are no wastewater or exhaust emissions in both the manufacturing process and the recycling and reuse process. The waste battery after use reaches 100% recycling. Under current technological conditions, it is difficult to recycle retired lithium batteries, their value is not high, and their reuse rate is very low.
The third dimension is that "resources are not constrained by raw materials". China is very rich in lead resources and will not be hindered by foreign countries. Lead materials can be recycled, and waste batteries can be exchanged for new ones, deducting 30% of the purchase value of new batteries.
The fourth dimension is "economy". Among all electrochemical energy storage, acid free solid-state batteries have the lowest cost per kilowatt hour, which is less than 50% of the cost of other batteries, resulting in high investment returns. Not restricted by upstream raw materials, the purchase price of raw materials has not increased by more than 5% since 2002. And the price of lithium materials has increased by more than ten times.
