Matrix Renewables, a Spanish renewable energy developer, has completed financing for its Gaskell 2 and Gaskell 3 solar energy+energy storage projects being deployed in California, which are in the late construction stage.
These projects will deploy a solar power plant with a total installed capacity of 143MW and an 80MWh battery energy storage system. California's utility companies have signed five Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) to purchase electricity for this purpose.
